The big console debate in my head
Just purchased Half Life 2 Episode 1 last night, but
1.) It didn't completely download before I shut down for the night (not cool)
2.) It let me start it up though, before the download was complete (cool)
3.) It checked my video drivers and told me I needed to update them (cool)
4.) Unceremoniously tossed me to ATI's driver update page so I had to do it myself (not cool)
5.) ATI's site was bogging down, I never got the drivers yet (not COOL!)
6.) Shut off the machine in a fit of rage and threw it off a cliff (not real)
7.) Went to play Tomb Raider on the XBox 360.
8.) Flipped the switch on, played instantly.
I'm telling you, I feel like PC gaming ain't worth it, after having the 360. No driver updates, no fiddling with video settings, no new hardware requirements, no manual patching, no having to LOOK for patches in the first place...
I had the choice to buy Dreamfall on the PC or the XBox360 the other day due to a backward compatibility update. I chose the latter. I guess I've decided then. Theres no going back now.
